Velma F. Elliott, 96, Tonganoxie, KS, died Tuesday, April 8, 2008 at Providence Medical Center, Kansas City, KS.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 12, 2008 at the Tonganoxie Christian Church, 204 Washington Street, Tonganoxie, KS, with visitation one hour before the funeral.  Burial will be in Harmony-Evergreen Cemetery, Savonburg, Kansas. 

Velma was born April 3, 1912 in Savonburg, Kansas, the daughter of Marion and Lois Young Weddle.  She was a 1930 graduate of Elsmore, KS High School.  She was united in marriage to George J. Elliott on October 19, 1932 in Erie, KS.  He preceded her in death November 6, 1983.  She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Shirley Lois Elliott in 1935.

Survivors include her daughter, Susan Knick, Gladstone, MO; three sons, George, Shawnee, KS, Darrell, Tonganoxie, KS and Jim, Linwood, KS; her sister, Wanda Crabb, Basehor, KS; 15 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
